From accountant in black to internationally recognized stylist and jewelry designer.

Twenty years ago, everything looked different

People see Tali today — with her celebrity clients, her style studio inside the exclusive 900 Shops on Michigan Avenue, her globally recognized jewelry brand Malkari, and her beautiful, happy family — and don’t realize this is far from where she started.

"Twenty years ago, I was an accountant who only wore black head to toe, trapped in an abusive relationship, and used clothes as a way to hide from myself and the world."

She didn’t necessarily have an eye for fashion then — but she always loved it.

An outfit changed everything

Tali began to experiment with color, wearing jewelry, and paying attention to how she was showing up in the world. The most incredible thing started happening — doors started opening. She got her first real job despite barely speaking English at the time.

Changing how she dressed shifted how she saw herself, and then rippled out into every aspect of her life: finding her soulmate, having her children, and building the business of her dreams.

Pouring that wisdom into every woman she works with

Today, Tali helps women transform their lives starting with an outfit. Through her styling work and her non-profit, Sweet Dome Chicago, which has helped 23 Ukrainian families settle in the Chicagoland area, she continues to honor her roots and share the belief that when you change how you show up, you can change your entire life.

How Malkari was born

As an international stylist, Tali was regularly sourcing accessories for her clients’ shoots and sessions. One day — a photoshoot, a Leo client — she searched for the perfect lion necklace. Something fierce. Something spiritual. Something that felt like armor and adornment at the same time.

It didn’t exist. So she created it.
